Adverse event or no adverse event, that is the question: a practical approach to safety reporting in clinical trials (WEBINAR)

Dr Andrew Smyth is a Clinician Scientist currently working as a HRB-Wellcome Trust funded Postdoctoral Researcher at HRB Clinical Research Facility Galway, and as an Honorary Consultant Nephrologist at Galway University Hospitals. Dr Smyth is a medical graduate of NUI Galway who has completed higher specialist training in internal medicine and nephrology, a Masters of Medical Science and a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology, funded by the HRB HSE National SpR Academic Fellowship Program (NSAFP). His clinical and research training was completed in Ireland, United States of America (Mayo Clinic) and Canada (McMaster University) and he has authored 48 peer-reviewed articles (including first author publications in Lancet, Circulation and Kidney International) and presented widely at national and international conferences. Dr Smyth’s research interests are in chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, population health and clinical epidemiology.
