HRB-TMRN & RCSI Study Day: Lessons from a Trainee-led Surgical Trial – Mr Tom Aherne

Tom completed his undergraduate medical studies in University College Cork in 2010 and subsequently commenced surgical training in General and Vascular Surgery. He is currently an ST7 Specialist Registrar in Cork University Hospital. Tom has completed an MD in Venous Surgery. He has further Masters degrees in Surgery and Leadership in Healthcare as well as over 40 peer-reviewed publications. He is a current member of the European Society for Vascular Surgeons Chronic Venous Disease Guideline Committee and sits on the European Society for Vascular Surgical Trainees.
