HRB-TMRN Announces New Travel Bursary for Aspiring Attendees of ICTMC 2024

HRB-TMRN Announces a New Travel Bursary for Aspiring Attendees of ICTMC 2024: Explore and Expand Your Clinical Trials Methodology Knowledge.

The International Clinical Trials Methodology Conference (ICTMC) 2024, scheduled for September 30th in Edinburgh, is the premier international platform for presenting the latest in trials methodology research. The conference, organised by the MRC-NIHR Trials Methodology Research Partnership, will cover diverse topics in trials methodology, offering valuable networking and training opportunities. It’s a crucial event for researchers and practitioners in the field.

More details about the specific program and topics can be found on the ICTMC 2024 website https://ictmc.org/. This event also benefits from pre- and post- conference workshops, which offer a greater choice for extending your learning experience and gaining more hands on training with renowned experts.

The Health Research Board – Trials Methodology Research Network (HRB-TMRN) is launching a Travel Bursary for Irish Researchers, including PhD students, who wish to attend this conference. This bursary is worth up to €1,800 to support travel expenses for attending the ICTMC in Edinburgh in 2024.

The funding covers various costs like conference fees (early bird rate), accommodation and daily allowances (in line with public sector subsistence allowance), airfare, visa fees, and poster printing. To apply, Researchers must submit their intent, detailing their research activity, budget proposal, and how attending ICTMC will benefit their work. Preference will be given to those presenting at the conference, with a special consideration for PhD Scholars without other travel funds available to them.

Applications are now being accepted until July 2, 2024.

Successful applicants will be notified by July 8th.

The Bursary Guidance Document is available here.
