Hosted by Trial Forge, the EXCELSIOR library brings together participant information leaflets (PILs) and informed consent forms (ICFs) used in randomised trials. The repository grew out of the EXCELSIOR project, funded by the HRB-TMRN, which investigated how key trial concepts such as randomisation and informed consent are understood – work since published in Trials. Researchers can use the library to see the many ways trial concepts are described, and draw on these examples when developing their own leaflets and consent forms.
