Studies within a trial are methodological studies embedded within host trials to evaluate alternative trial processes (e.g., for recruitment, retention, data collection or monitoring) or to explore why processes are undertaken as they are (e.g., reasons for non-consent or withdrawal). The webinar will describe what SWATs are and why they are important to include in trials. Key considerations for how to identify, design and embed a SWAT in a trial will be presented, best practice shared and useful resources highlighted.
